Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika (if using). Stir to mix thoroughly.
  • In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once heated, add the spice blend to the oil and stir for 30 seconds to allow the flavors to bloom. Be careful not to burn the spices!
  • If making a sauce or marinade, add lime juice and honey to the pan. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes before drizzling over your dish or using as a marinade. You can also store it in an airtight container for later use.
